A Message From Our Founder
To our loyal customers,
Ten years ago, in the depths of the Great Recession, I opened the first Killer Burger in the Hollywood neighborhood of Portland. It was a very difficult time for me personally and for our community. This was the last time we all faced such uncertainty, and what we needed most at that time was an escape. And so, I dedicated the next chapter in my life to creating an environment where my friends and I could get away from the troubles of the outside world and enjoy good burgers, cold beer and rock ‘n roll.
Now, ten years later, we all are facing some of the toughest challenges we’ve ever had to deal with. Thousands of our friends have lost their jobs because of the effects of the Coronavirus and our world has been turned upside down. Now when we need it most, “escaping” is nearly impossible as our schools, businesses, parks and favorite hangouts are all closed. But this challenging time has brought some positive changes as well. It’s turned neighbors into friends, parents into teachers, and workers on the front line into heroes.
I’m inspired by the communities where we operate because of the way people stick together during difficult times and find opportunities out of darkness. At Killer Burger we rely on the strength of our communities and will always be dedicated to giving our customers the escape they need to get through whatever difficulty they’re facing. We’re working hard to make sure that no matter how much things change, we’re all in this together.
We’ll continue to do what we do best and provide our customers with the best burger experience imaginable throughout the challenges ahead. That’s what our customers deserve from us. It’s your support over the past several weeks that has made it possible for us to remain open and keep our staff employed. We can’t thank you enough for being such loyal partners.
We will get to the other side of this. We will be able to gather with our friends again. We can’t wait to be there.
